"Peak Color"
Hunnewell Building, The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University
Oct 15, 2005 - Jan 21, 2006
In this series of collages, Kyle Larabee transformed a familiar part of our environment - fallen leaves collected at the Arboretum and around the region - into works of rich color and unexpected form. This project involved the collection, dessication, dissection, and arrangement of leaf fragments on paper, an artistic process with parallels to the scientific and educational mission of the Arboretum.
